Urantia Book Science and History – YouTube videosJosh Abernathy created a Urantia Book Science and History page on Facebook about 12 years ago. The discussions were fascinating, he found. However, he noticed there was a great need for video presentations. While there are a lot of writings and papers about some of the topics discussed, many readers preferred audio and video presentations over paper presentations. Having purchased some expensive equipment from his own funds to make these videos, Josh asked the Fellowship to fund some of the smaller things he needed, such as research papers, plug-ins for the software he’d been using, and sound equipment. “There are a lot of readers who struggle to understand some of the content of the UB, myself included. I do believe these videos will be helpful in not only understanding scientific and historical correlations with the Urantia Book, they will help give readers a deeper understanding of the subjects themselves,” Josh told the Fellowship in his application for a first grant in May 2021. Since then – and with the help of another Second Miler grant in May 2023 – his YouTube channel has accumulated 30 videos and 315 subscribers at the time of writing (October 2023). Between July and September 2023 alone, the channel had 7,900 new views – 6,800 of them from new viewers – and 77 new subscribers. The YouTube channel, “Urantia Book: Science and History”, can be found here. The Urantia Book: Science and History Facebook page is here. The Urantia Book Fellowship would like to thank supporters of the Second Miler Grant Program for helping make possible the Josh Abernathy's project and all the others the program has funded since 2020. | Learn more about the Second Miler Grant Program: Click here for details and application form.
