Vern Grimsley found The Urantia Book in 1956 at the Culver Military Academy, which he attended for the first two years of high school.  He had a God given speaking talent and was recognized early in Garden City, Kansas before going to Kansas University in Lawrence, Kansas.  He studied Philosophy and Psychology and attended Pacific School of Religion before launching out on his own.  He started with a street ministry "On Campus" where he would stand on a soap box and engage students and pedestrians with questions on God and the meaning of life.  He was also making radio broadcasts and "On Campus" became part of his radio ministry.  His energy and speaking abilities soon attracted others interested in his presentation of the Teachings of Jesus-the Fatherhood of God and Brotherhood of Man.  He founded a nonprofit corporation "The Family of God" in 1967; all this being done with the constant and perpetual help of his wife Nancy.  His radio broadcast was heard worldwide in the early 1980's and he was a regular on public speaking tours.  Vern became controversial in the mid 1980's, suffered loss and the collapse of  FOG (Family of God) from within in the early spring of 1985.  He relocated to Oakhurst. CA to continue his ministry, where he produced the lion's share of his 200 plus radio broadcasts which focus on the spiritual understanding of the Teaching of Jesus and man's relationship with God and God's relationship with man.  He performed weddings, funerals and much personal ministry all stressing the spiritual aspects of this life.  In the voice and substance of his radio broadcasts can be heard the call of God to those hungry souls thirsting for the living water.  Vern's radio broadcasts are now heard on several radio stations, a website, Soundcloud and U-tube.  Vern's presentation of the clarification of the teachings of Jesus continues as the Spiritual Renaissance Broadcast.
