(from husband, Rick Morgan)
Jane Threatt Morgan, age 73, “Graduated” on Feb 19, 2020. Jane was a devoted reader of the Urantia Book who starting reading it in the mid-1960s. Being a curious soul, Jane frequently wrote letters to the Urantia Fellowship inquiring about the origin of the book and location of other Urantia readers.
Her commitment to the Urantia philosophy is evident by her inscription inside her book – “this Book is the Light of my Life”. Jane read it from cover to cover many times. When the last section of the Book was published as the separate “Jesus Papers”, she constantly read this book. Her copy of the “Jesus Papers” is discolored, worn out, and partially shredded from constant use. She read it daily to the very end.
After Rabia Harris moved to Mars Hill, North Carolina, they became associated with other U Book readers from the Elizabethton, TN area and frequently met with Dean White and other readers to discuss the Book. Jane also hosted Urantia gatherings in Mars Hill, NC and Abingdon, VA.
Jane never used the terms 'death' or 'passing on'. She adopted the word 'graduation' from the Urantia Fellowship for her transfer from this earthly life to a greater journey with the Lord.
