- Academic Confrontations With The Urantia Book: In the mid-1980s, the American Academy of Religion issued a "call for papers" in a Consultation on The Urantia Book. In the first recording, Dan Massey provides an overview of the meeting in which the submitted papers were reviewed. The subsequent recordings contain his response to three arguments presented as a means of indicating that The Urantia Book could not be an epochal revelation. These were submitted by Dr. John Collins, professor of Theology, Lake Forest University. Dr. Collins maintains that there are three commonly accepted scientific views contradicted by Urantia Book teachings. These are, the origin of life on earth, the origin of the earth, and the origin of the universe. Dan Massey reviews the nature of the evidence from which Dr. Collins draws his conclusions. This program was presented at the Boulder School for the Study of The Urantia Book circa 1984.
